Hit rate & average casts

Formulas

N=max⁡(1,⌈Ecurrent⌉−1),Δs=min⁡{k∈Z≥0:E(s+Δsfixed+kes)≤N}N=\max(1,\lceil E_{\mathrm{current}}\rceil-1),\qquad\Delta s=\min\{k\in\mathbb Z_{\ge0}:E(\mathbf s+\Delta\mathbf s_{\mathrm{fixed}}+k\mathbf e_s)\le N\}

Overview

  • Hit chance uses character accuracy, monster evasion and the level gap. Average casts include misses, criticals and independent damage rolls. Stat goals find the smallest whole stat gain that reaches a target cast count, keeping other gains fixed. Main stats and ATT have no fixed exchange rate; INT also changes base M. ATT by its integer-half step.

Stat conversion

  • Compare the gain in expected full-cast damage from +1 main stat with +1 W. ATT or M. ATT. The ratio includes misses, crits, all lines, defenses and the damage cap. Each physical attack action is compared separately. Conversion changes with your build; a zero damage gain has no finite reciprocal.
